KLiiK denmark Eyeglasses: Scandinavian Design for Smaller Faces

Woman and man wearing Kliik denmark glasses

If you’re a part of the small-face gang, then you know how hard it can be to find glasses that fit!

Too often, we’re expected to put up with frames that slide down our nose, rest on our cheeks, or jut out past the side of our head.

How many of us have settled for a sloppy fit or suffered the ultimate indignity: hunting for frames in the kids’ section?

That is exactly why KLiiK denmark got started. They realized that having a petite face shouldn’t mean compromising on style. And they stepped in to make high-fashion eyewear actually designed to fit us.

Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian design principles, KLiiK makes eyewear for people with smaller faces, smaller eye sizes, and narrower pupillary distances.

What Is KLiiK denmark?

KLiiK denmark is an eyewear brand owned by WestGroupe, an international optical company founded in Canada in 1966. The collection takes its inspiration from Scandinavian design, combining minimalist styling with distinctive colors and textures.

KLiiK was built from the ground up for men and women who need smaller frame sizes and a narrower fit. The aesthetic is definitely Scandinavian-inspired, but adds way more personality than your average minimalist eyewear brand.

You’ll find cool design touches like:

  • Custom acetate laminations
  • Intricate laser-cut details
  • Fun, bold color combos
  • Layered textures and patterns
  • Super lightweight stainless steel and titanium

This is a collection of glasses that look modern and high-fashion, giving you plenty of style without swallowing your face.

Why Standard Frames Don’t Always Work for Smaller Faces

The eyewear industry creates almost every design around average face dimensions.

But that doesn’t help those of us with smaller features who just want a pair of glasses that stays on our faces. Standard frames on a petite face usually lead to some specific and annoying issues.

The arms are way too long

Standard glasses use arm lengths between 140mm and 150mm, which stick out too far behind small ears. Even if you take them to an optician to have them altered, they can still slide around or pinch.

KLiiK uses temple lengths of 135mm or 140mm, so they can wrap around a smaller head without any overhang.

The lenses swallow your face

You’ll find many 52mm to 56mm lenses. On a narrow face, this completely dominates your face and makes it look like the glasses are wearing you. KLiiK scales this down to 46mm to 50mm for most frames.

The nose bridge is too wide

If the bridge is too wide, the glasses have nothing to grip. That’s what causes you to push your glasses back up your nose 50 times a day.

They rest on your cheeks

Oversized frames end up resting on your cheeks. So whenever you happen to smile or laugh, your cheeks physically push the glasses up. Not only is it annoying, but it traps heat behind the lenses and makes them fog up.

The Overlooked Headache: Narrow Pupillary Distance (PD)

Pupillary distance is the distance between the centers of your pupils. The average adult PD is around 63mm, but petite faces often have PDs of 60mm or under.

If you have a small PD and wear standard frames, your eyes won’t line up with the center of the lenses. So you end up looking out of the inner corners.

This doesn’t just mess with your look; it also messes with your vision. The clearest part of a prescription lens is the exact center. When your pupils aren’t centered, your eyes and brain work overtime to compensate. This can cause major eye strain and headaches.

KLiiK built their entire brand to fix this issue. In their own words, “KLiiK denmark offers a wide repertoire of styling for the narrow PD clientele with a strong sense of style.”

Frames by KLiiK ensure your pupils are positioned exactly where they’re supposed to be for the best possible vision, comfort, and look.

Scandinavian Design with a Purpose

There are a lot of brands out there that brag about their “Scandinavian design.” Usually, that’s just code for we made it plain and gray.

But KLiiK puts their minimalistic mindset to practical use. The frames keep smaller faces from getting overwhelmed by using clean lines and scaled-back silhouettes.

They also don’t assume that just because you have a small face, you only want boring colors. KLiiK uses rich, saturated colors… think deep forest greens, burgundies, and blush tones.

You can have all the style offered by mainstream frames, without the slip.

Some of Our Fave Frames From KLiiK’s Current Collection
