Deciding between Warby Parker and EZContacts? Choosing the right eyewear store isn’t an easy decision.
If you’re feeling stuck, I’m here to help. I scoured both stores and compared their inventory, shopping experience, pricing, shipping times, return policy, customer ratings, and more. After collating all of that information, I was able to determine which store comes out on top.
Let’s get into it!
Frame & Lens Selection
Number of Products and Brands at Warby Parker vs. EZContacts
We’ll begin by looking at the number of products and brands offered at Warby Parker and EZContacts.
Warby Parker designs their eyewear for a specific shopper with a specific taste, and they do it well. But if you don’t fit neatly into that aesthetic, your options run out fast. EZContacts takes the opposite approach: instead of one brand’s vision, you get hundreds. That means the selection isn’t limited to a single style, price point, or personality; it’s as varied as the designers behind it.
Warby Parker currently only offers 270 glasses frame styles. However, these frames are available in multiple colors, so there are many more options available.

They have 133 sunglasses frame styles available. Again, these sunglass frames are available in multiple colors.

Warby Parker sells contact lenses from a variety of major manufacturers, such as Johnson & Johnson, Alcon, Bausch & Lomb, and CooperVision.
They currently have 109 contact options available from 14 brands.

In comparison, EZContacts has a huge inventory that features over 50,000 products. There are thousands of eyeglasses and sunglasses available from hundreds of brands. This includes top designers, such as Ray-Ban, Miu Miu, Prada, Gucci, and Oakley.
EZContacts also has contacts from top manufacturers, including Johnson & Johnson, Alcon, CooperVision, Bausch & Lomb, and Eiyan.
On the eyeglasses page, you’ll see that EZContacts currently has 7,497 glasses from around 287 brands in-stock. However, like with Warby Parker, the same style may be available in multiple colors and sizes. And so, there are actually many more options available.

On the sunglasses page, you’ll see EZContacts has about 5,043 sunglasses from about 214 brands. But like with the eyeglasses, there are really many more models available in different colors.

EZContacts offers 125 types of contacts from 23 brands.

All of EZContacts eyewear products are 100% authentic and sourced straight from the manufacturer.
EZContacts also offers a wide range of eye care products, including artificial tears, rewetting drops, eye vitamins, eye cream, and more. Warby Parker doesn’t sell eye care products.
Who Wins
EZContacts comes out on top in this round for its larger inventory of global eyewear brands.

Pricing & Value
Now, let’s look at the pricing and value of Warby Parker and EZContacts. We’ll compare their eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses, and we’ll review their loyalty programs.
Comparing Eyeglasses
We’ll start with Warby Parker. As previously mentioned, they only sell their own brand of glasses. These glasses come in a variety of shapes, styles, and colors. For material, you can find everything from metal to acetate. There are also a variety of classic shapes available, including cat-eye, rectangular, round, and aviator.
There are lots of options starting from $95, and that price includes single-vision prescription lenses.

There are also options available for $145 and $175.

The most expensive glasses frames at Warby Parker cost $195.

Single-vision polycarbonate lenses are included in the price of these glasses. Add-ons like blue-light filtering and light-responsive lenses are extra.
Now, let’s head over to EZContacts to look at their eyeglasses. EZContacts offers glasses from many top eyewear brands, including Kate Spade, Miu Miu, Carrera, Hugo Boss, Ray-Ban, Coach, and more.
EZContacts has more variety than Warby Parker, and they have affordable glasses from major brands. This includes Ray-Ban. There are Ray-Ban frames available starting at around $100, including these highly-rated black rectangular frames.

EZContacts also has other glasses from top brands that cost less than many of Warby Parker’s glasses. For example, these Hugo Boss frames cost $35.78.

Warby Parker offers polycarbonate lenses as their standard option. At EZContacts, polycarbonate lenses cost $49.95. And so, with clear polycarbonate lenses, the total cost of these glasses is $95.98.

For another example, take a look at these stylish Kate Spade glasses.

With clear polycarbonate lenses, these glasses cost $94.40.

Comparing Sunglasses
Just like their eyeglasses collection, Warby Parker only sells its own brand of sunglasses, with models made from metal, acetate, nylon, and mixed materials. They also offer a variety of shapes, including square, geometric, rectangular, and cat-eye.
Their sunglasses start at $95 for the most affordable pairs.

There are also options at $125, $145, $175, and $195.

We’ll now look at EZContacts. They have thousands of sunglasses in stock from hundreds of brands, including Ray-Ban, Oakley, Coach, Maui Jim, and more. There’s also a wide variety of sunglasses available for under $95.
You can buy sunglasses from lots of top brands for less than Warby Parker’s sunglasses. For example, these cool Adidas shades with pink lenses cost $35.

In addition, these Armani Exchange sunglasses cost $53.46.

You can also get a stylish pair of Vogue sunglasses for $58.48.

You can also get these colorful Michael Kors aviator sunglasses for $74.

That’s just a small sample of the many affordable and stylish sunglasses available at EZContacts.
Comparing Contact Lenses
Warby Parker and EZContacts both sell contacts from major brands, such as ACUVUE, Biofinity, and AIR OPTIX.
At Warby Parker, you get 20% off your first contact lens order, which is a good deal.
However, for your second contact lens order and beyond, you’ll generally pay more at Warby Parker than you would at EZContacts.
Take this 6-pack of Biofinity Toric contacts as an example. At Warby Parker, your first order will cost $66.46 per pair. After that, though, it will cost $83.08.

At EZContacts, the same 6-pack costs $74.95, saving you $9 (10%).

You can also save more by adding a contact lens subscription when you order with EZContacts. With the subscription, the cost is almost the same as Warby Parker’s first-order deal.

It’s the same story with other contact lenses, such as the ACUVUE OASYS Max 1-Day contacts.
Your first order at Warby Parker will cost $111.20 per box. After that, it will cost $139 per box.

At EZContacts, these contact lenses will cost you $132.95 per box. Or, they’ll cost $119.66 with the EZ-Refill contact lens subscription.

Other Important Price and Value Considerations
Contact Lens Subscription

As previously mentioned, EZContacts offers an EZ-Refill contact lens subscription. With this subscription, you can save 10% on each contact order. Plus, you can choose to have your contacts delivered monthly, every two months, every three months, every six months, or annually. It’s also easy to cancel or modify your subscription through your EZContacts account.
In comparison, Warby Parker offers 20% off your first order of contact lenses. After that, though, you’ll have to pay full price.
Loyalty Program, Discounts, and
EZContacts has a loyalty program called EZPoints. With this program, you’ll get one EZPoint for every $2 spent on eyewear. Once you’ve earned 250 points, you’ll receive a $25 coupon you can use on your next order of $150 or more.
To sign up, all you need to do is create an EZContacts account. Then, you’ll immediately earn points on every purchase.
EZContacts also often offers discounts and seasonal promotions. When you go to ezcontacts.com, you’ll typically see a discount code in the banner to use.
Warby Parker doesn’t have a similar loyalty program. They do offer a helpful ‘Add a Pair and Save’ deal. With this deal, you can get 15% off when you buy two or more pairs of prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses.
While it’s not a traditional loyalty program, Warby Parker also has a ‘Buy a Pair, Give a Pair’ program. With this program, Warby Parker donates a pair of glasses for every pair bought.
Price-Matching
EZContacts offers a 105% price-match guarantee to help you save. If you see eyewear you purchased for less at another eyewear store, email customer service. Once it’s verified, you’ll receive a refund plus an extra 5% off. You can find the full terms and conditions here.
Warby Parker doesn’t offer a price-match guarantee.
Insurance
Warby Parker accepts most major vision insurance plans when shopping both online and in-store, which can make your shopping experience easier. Take a look at their website to confirm if they accept your insurance plan.
EZContacts is an out-of-network insurance provider. You’ll have to pay for your eyewear up front. Then, you can file for reimbursement with your insurance provider. EZContacts can help with this; fill out this form, and EZContacts will assist in filing your claim.
In addition, EZContacts accepts FSA and HSA cards. You can use them like your regular credit or debit card at checkout.

If there are any issues that might delay your order, EZContacts will reach out to you by email within 24 hours. Also, note that your order may take longer if the product isn’t currently in stock. To make sure it’s in stock, look for the green box on the product page.

Return Policy & Warranty
Warby Parker Return Policy

Warby Parker has a 30-day free exchange or return policy. Glasses and sunglasses can be returned opened, but contact lenses must be returned unopened. However, if you open your contact lenses and find they’re damaged or defective, you can return them.
To begin the return process, head to the ‘Returns’ page and enter your order number and billing zip code. Or, you can use the live chat function or call Warby Parker to start the process. Warby Parker will send you a prepaid return label to use to return your package.
Along with their 30-day warranty, Warby Parker has a six-month no-scratch guarantee for their prescription eyeglass and sunglass lenses. If your lenses get scratched during that time, bring them into any Warby Parker store. An optician will examine your glasses, and if the frames are in good condition, they’ll send them to their optical lab to have the lenses replaced. You’ll then get your glasses back in about 30 days.
EZContacts Return Policy
EZContacts also has a 30-day return policy. If you return an item within that period, you’ll get your money back.
Contact lenses must be returned unopened, but sunglasses and glasses can be returned after being opened. Just note that there’s a $25 restocking fee for glasses with custom or prescription lenses.
Starting the return process is simple. Head to your customer account and click ‘Start Return’ next to your order details. Or, if you have your order number handy, head to the Returns and Exchanges page and use the ‘Order Locator’ form to start your return.
After the 30-day EZContacts warranty is up, the manufacturer’s warranty will apply. This will typically be one to two years, depending on the item. Make sure to check your item’s warranty card to see the full terms.

“I needed new glasses immediately. My order was lost but Warby Parker didn’t figure this out until I called them after the delivery date. I explained the situation, and was promised quick response. Instead, a new order was booked and I was at the end of the queue. Even the delivery date on that was late. The glasses are good, but service was terrible.”

Another customer shared they had issues with their contact order:
“Worst customer experience in years. I ordered contacts for the first time through the Warby Parker website which stated my contacts were in stock. I have since received 6 emails saying the contacts are backordered with different dates of availability. Since then (one month ago), my prescription expired so I am unable to get contacts elsewhere and have run out.”

However, on TrustPilot, Warby Parker currently has a 1.6 out of 5 stars from 232 reviews. Some customers said they were happy with the customer service. One customer wrote:
“Excellent service from start to finish.”

On the other hand, many customers cited long shipping times and issues with the quality of the glasses. A customer shared:
“I’ve been a Warby Parker customer since 2020 and wore my last pair into the ground. I just bought a new pair earlier this year and 7 months in have as many scratches as my old pair did 3-4 years in. Always cleaned with the cloth or a clean shirt. Messaged them about seeing if there was anything they could do outside of their “6 month scratch guarantee” and obviously the only thing I could do was pay for new ones. Pretty disappointed in the quality of the lenses and this will probably be my last pair. Guess you get what you pay for these days.”

Another customer shared that their order was never shipped:
“I ordered a pair of sun glasses. They missed the promised ship by date. I called customer service and they could not explain the status of my order. I emailed Customer Service, but got a generic reply with no answers to my questions… So now I have to call American Express and charge back the cost of the glasses. This company is really screwed up. Stay away from them.”

Over on Reddit, many Redditors have shared issues they’ve had with Warby Parker. One Redditor started a thread titled “Extremely Long Wait On Orders,” and they asked if anyone else had experienced long wait times with Warby Parker.
Another Redditor responded:
“It just took a full month to get two pairs that I ordered in store. Such a saga, the order took so long to ship they placed a replacement order. Then the first order arrived but only had one of the two pairs ordered in it. Finally received the second pair 30 days after placing the initial order. I have used WP in the past and like them but they are on thin ice.”

Warby Parker shares reviews for their glasses and sunglasses on their website, which can help you with your purchasing decision. However, they don’t share reviews for contact lenses.

Some reviewers did mention that they had to wait a bit for their order, including a reviewer named Vito. But once he received his order, he was very happy with it:
“Heard good things about EZContacts and would say I am overall a satisfied customer. Their prices are very reasonable and competitive, just be aware that there can be a bit of a delay in shipping out of stock items and it’s hard for them to know exact timing (for me was about 3 weeks total). Their customer service was very communicative and helpful once I reached out for updates. My glasses arrived very quickly once they were actually received and shipped.”

Kate Spade – PERFECTION
“These are my first pair of online prescription glasses. I chose a sunglass frame & had clear lenses added. EZCONTACTS included the sunglass lenses with my order. The Kate Spade frames are gorgeous & the floral design temples are actually a clear temple. Love them! I have 2 more pair on order.”
Who Wins
EZContacts wins this round with their higher customer rating. They also offer a customer gallery, where you can see how the products look on real customers.
