I’ll save you some time and energy by helping you understand if you’re buying the real deal or not.

Spotted! Fake Sunglasses!

Let’s start by acknowledging that there are countless fake sunglasses on the market. It’s a minefield out there with cheap dupes and bad-quality eyewear that won’t last a day.

You can find them on dodgy websites, on online marketplaces, at outdoor markets on your travels abroad, and in some stores.

Cheap fake sunglasses usually feel, well, cheap and fake. If you’re shopping in person, you’ll notice the poor quality of fake sunglasses.

Does EZContacts Sell Fake Sunglasses?

I won’t keep you waiting, or rather, scrolling. Let’s answer the juicy question on your mind.

No, EZContacts doesn’t sell fake sunglasses.

The branded, designer sunglasses are the real deal. They come in their original casing and packaging, and they’ll often include authenticity cards or warranty cards.

How are EZContacts sunglasses so cheap (If they’re not fake)

EZContacts has spent years building direct relationships with the manufacturers who make designer sunglasses. We source our products right from these manufacturers, cutting out the middleman.

EZContacts also doesn’t have any physical stores, unlike some other eyewear brands. Because of that, we have fewer overhead costs. In addition, we buy our most popular products in bulk, which allows us to boost our inventory on a strict budget. We also accept smaller margins than many of our competitors.

EZContacts passes all these savings on to customers. There are major discounts on our site, but the products are still realistically priced. This shows they’re not knock-offs (just cheaper than competitors).

Real Customers, Real Sunglasses

There’s not one fake Ray-Ban, Oakley, or anything in between on the EZContacts website. And there are thousands of customer reviews to prove it.

Like you, there have been plenty of apprehensive customers who have been tempted by the affordable prices on the EZContacts site. Then, upon receiving their order, they’re pleasantly surprised that, guess what…

The sunglasses are not fake!

Here are some of those experiences:

Reviewer Gillian was impressed by the bargain on her Prada shades:

“Saw these at Sunglass Hut months ago and LOVED them, but couldn’t justify $500+ for such an impractical pair of sunglasses. Decided I’d treat myself for my birthday and found them here for half the price (& yes, they’re authentic). 12/10 would buy again”

Yessenia knows the real deal when she sees it:

“I was hesitant to buy these based on a reviewer saying that they did not have the Prada logo but I took the chance and I have no regrets! These are definitely authentic and have the Prada logo etched on the sides.”

Robert loves his Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, and they aren’t his first pair:

“Have ordered 3 pair from this company over a few months, all authentic and all at a great price. Had ordered these new wayfarers recently and an additional discount came out two days later-they honored that as well. Glasses are great Shipping was quick.”

Justin was happy with his authentic Versace shades:

Signs of Fake Designer Sunglasses

Now you can stop asking, “Does EZContacts have real designer glasses?”

However, it’s still good to know how to spot fake designer sunglasses. This way, you can protect yourself if you’re buying from other retailers. To begin, here are some obvious signs of fake shades.

Really, really low prices are the first clue you’re looking at fake designer sunglasses. I’m talking about Ray-Bans for $20 or the latest Versace shades for $50. Even with online discounts, these brands generally don’t dip below a certain price.

Another major clue is if a pair of designer sunglasses doesn’t come with a branded case, cloth, or authenticity card (although not all brands have this).

Finally, poor construction, like weak hinges, misalignment, and bad lenses, is a good giveaway. A wonky frame, with misspelled branding or logos, is also the most obvious sign that something is off.

If the lenses don’t offer UV protection, that’s also a good giveaway of poor-quality, fake glasses.

What Do Fake Ray-Ban Sunglasses Look Like

Ray-Bans are one of the most popular eyewear brands, so it’s no surprise that there are lots of dupes on the market.

The good news is that it’s quite easy to spot a fake pair. One of the easiest ways is to check the lenses. Do they look scratched, flimsy, or blurry? That’s a sign they’re fakes.

Also, check the Ray-Ban logo on the right lens; it shouldn’t be scratched off or in the wrong place. On the left lens, there should be a very subtle RB logo. You should only be able to spot it if you lean your glasses toward the light.

For polarized sunglasses, you should see the letter P engraved into the right lens, next to the logo. No P, and they could be fakes.

Signs of Fake Oakley Sunglasses

Similar to Ray-Bans, fake Oakleys will often come with cheap packaging and inconsistent details on the authenticity card. One of the most obvious signs is an incorrect address for Oakley’s headquarters!

Some lenses will also have etchings to prove they’re the real thing. Oakley prescription sunglasses should have an O etched into the lens. However, non-prescription sunglasses typically shouldn’t have one.

PRIZM Oakley sunglasses will have either PRIZM or the word ‘POLARIZED’ carved into the lens. Non-Prizm lenses shouldn’t have this.
