The most fun time of year is around the corner. No, I’m not talking about Christmas; I mean Halloween! When adults get to dress like, well, anything they want, from giant pumpkins to vampires.

Let’s focus on the latter for all you Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and Dracula fans. Here are some fun women’s vampire costume ideas with matching eyewear!

Why Choose a Vampire Costume This Halloween?

You’ve probably dressed up as an angel, a princess, or a Barbie before. This year, try out a Halloween costume that shows off your dark side! With the popular release of the hit Netflix show Wednesday and movies like Nosferatu, it’s all about that powerful female vampire energy.

Bella Swan From the Twilight Franchise

Bella is one of the most famous vampire characters in history. The incredible rise of the Twilight franchise made the actors, including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Hollywood A-listers.

When Bella gets bitten by her boyfriend and transforms into a vampire (I know, it’s classic romance), she transforms from a normal-looking high school girl into a porcelain woman.

To dress like Bella, pair a fitted black or gray leather jacket with skinny jeans and heeled black boots. Finish off your look by blow-drying your hair and wearing red contact lenses.

Paint a little drop of red next to your lips to take it to the next level!

Selene in the Underworld Movie Franchise

Similar to Kristen Stewart in Twilight, Kate Beckinsale gained fame for her prominent role in the Underworld movies. If you’re looking for a vampire costume that’s a little sultry and not basic, then this is the one for you.

To look like Selene, you’ll need to commit 100%. Find a leather cat suit (head-to-toe outfit), and pair it with long black boots and a short, cropped black wig.

Finish your look off with bright blue contact lenses. Air Optix has a range of colors, including Brilliant Blue, which should do the trick. Dailies also offers Mythic Blue colored contacts that could work well.

Katerina Petrova in the Vampire Diaries Series

Katerina was one of the main villains, yet not quite a villain, in The Vampire Diaries (it’s complicated). But one certain thing is that she has some great vampire costumes in the show, especially when she’s shown hundreds of years ago in 18th-century dresses.

If you can’t get a hold of an 18th-century-inspired ballgown, then opt for a black corset and a full skirt to create a similar look at a fraction of the price.

Finish off your look with a big brown, blown-out wig and dark brown contact lenses (if you don’t already have brown eyes). Throw on a pendant or gothic-style necklace to commit even more.

Alice Cullen From the Twilight Franchise

Here’s another great vampire costume for all the Twilight fans. Alice was arguably the most popular character from the franchise apart from the two leading roles. This was possibly due to her charm and fun personality. Her distinctive haircut and gothic Y2K outfits make her a fun costume to commit to!

Start with a pixie cut brown wig, and style it with some gel to make the ends flick out like Alice’s. Then, throw on a pair of skinny jeans, a white shirt, and a black waistcoat.

Make your eyes pop like Alice’s with amber contact lenses. Air Optix creates a color called ‘honey,’ which could be a great fit.

Monica Bellucci in Dracula

Monica Bellucci was a hit as Dracula’s Bride in the 1992 Dracula movie! She wore a range of sultry nightgown-esque dresses in the movie, making this one of the easier vampire costumes to recreate.

Choose a lightweight white, lacy nightgown to wear. Then, opt for a big brown curly wig, some silver earrings, and a silver hairpiece. Use some red face paint around your mouth to really give it your all. Take your look over the edge with dark brown contact lenses.

Wednesday Addams From the Wednesday TV Show

Okay, I know Wednesday is not technically a vampire, but I couldn’t leave her off this year’s Halloween costumes list! She gives off vampire energy (the dark hair, pale skin, and black outfits), and with her hit Netflix show, she’s the perfect muse.

Pair an all black outfit, which can consist of pants, a skirt, and a long black overcoat. Finish off your look with a black wig, plaited into pigtails just like Wednesday.

Complete your outfit with a pair of tinted oval sunglasses, such as these by Prada. They add a touch of mystery to your look, and they’re great sunglasses that can be worn all year round.

TL;DR

Vampire costumes are back in fashion this Halloween. The good news is that it’s one of the easiest costumes to achieve with minimal investment.

  • Bella Swan from the Twilight franchise was a cultural phenomenon. Recreate her look with a simple leather jacket, skinny jeans, and red contact lenses.
  • Selene from the Underworld movies is another popular vampire costume. Wear head-to-toe leather and finish off your look with blue contact lenses.
  • Katerina Petrova was one of the most controversial characters in The Vampire Diaries. Dress like her with a corset and full skirt, brown contact lenses, and a brown curly wig. It’s like Bridgerton meets Dracula.
  • Alice Cullen was another popular character from the Twilight series. Create your costume with a pixie cut wig, amber contacts, and a black waistcoat, jeans combination.
  • Monica Bellucci was incredible as Dracula’s Bride in the 1992 Dracula movie. Select a white lace nightgown, brown contact lenses, and plenty of silver jewelry for this look.
  • If you’re feeling modern, opt for a Wednesday outfit inspired by the new Netflix show. Finish off your all-black outfit with black oval sunglasses.
