In case you haven’t got the memo, men’s fashion is getting a major upgrade in 2025. The fashion trends started with clothes, and then extended to accessories. Now, men’s eyeglasses are being hit with a big dose of style!

So, fold up those boring frames and put them in the back of the drawer. It’s time to step out in some new glasses that show off your personality.

I’m not talking crazy styles; there’s no need for hot pink or busy patterns. A subtle upgrade can make all the difference. Let’s see what sort of changes are in store!

Selecting Frames That Suit Your Face

I’m going to get into men’s eyeglass fashion trends, I promise! But before you can decide which trend to choose, you need to know which frames will fit your face. Otherwise, how will you know what will work best?

The Age-Old Challenge

Too big, too small, too round, too square … figuring out which style will work can be confusing. Like most good things in life, it takes a bit of time. I’m here to help you speed up the process by pointing out some quick tips for getting it right.

Spot the Difference

First and foremost, your eyeglass frames should fit across the entire width of your face. If they’re too narrow, like the guy on the left, your face can look longer. No one wants that!

But if your eyeglasses are too wide, they will take over your face, and that’s not good either. This year is all about letting YOU shine! So, no hiding behind your glasses like the guy in the middle.

Now, look at the guy on the right. His glasses are wide enough for his face, and they don’t go past two-thirds of the way down his nose. The frames are just the right size, and the rectangular shape adds some edges to his oval face.

See what a difference that makes?

Whether you’re shopping for new glasses because you’re tired of yours, because you accidentally sat on them, or simply because you enjoy staying up-to-date with the latest trends, I want to ensure you walk away with some profound, life-changing knowledge.

Ok, maybe not life-changing, but still! At the very least, you’ll be able to choose a new pair of glasses with confidence. And this year, men’s eyewear is more impressive than ever! So you’re spoiled for choice.

Geometric glasses are cool and making a comeback.

If rounded glasses have been your go-to, consider switching things up with something slightly edgier. Geometric eyeglasses are a fun twist on the rounded shape! It can be very subtle, and thin metal puts the focus on the shape.

These Paradigm men’s glasses feature simple frames in a geometric shape. They have that little something extra, but they’re still ideal for daily wear. Plus, this is my most affordable pick, so you’re getting a contemporary style at a bargain price!

Love aviator shades? Try some aviator eyeglasses!

If you’re a fan of aviators, why not invest in a pair of eyeglasses with the same classic shape? They flatter a wide range of faces, and you can choose metal or, my personal favorite, tortoiseshell frames.

It’s hard to go wrong with this style. Just make sure the glasses aren’t too big.

These Philipp Plein aviator eyeglasses featuring metal and black frames are adventurous! But I believe you can pull them off.

They’re perfect for work with a sharp suit, or they can smarten up your casual clothes.

Look fresh in fashionable men’s transparent eyeglass frames.

More men are opting for transparent frames because … well, do you need a reason? See for yourself how cool they look!

They work best in square or rectangular shapes. And they’re a smart choice if you don’t want your glasses distracting from your face.

These Gucci frames are perfect for a range of face shapes, thanks to their rectangular design. The transparent frames add to the style while being easy to pull off.

They would work well in casual outfits, such as jeans or sporty athleisure wear. And bonus! They look great with smart shirts and work pants, too. So you can really get your wear out of them.

Go retro with some ’70s-inspired round glasses.

The ’70s are back, and so is the inspiration of John Lennon, the incomparable icon of style and social responsibility. This style is cool when paired with round glasses, as seen in the example below.

It’s the perfect trend if you’re the kind of guy who loves corduroy, thrifting, and all things retro. This year, brown is in style, especially in suits, shoes, and eyeglasses. Work it with some woodgrain or tortoiseshell frames.

These Georgio Armani round eyeglasses are what I’m talking about! The quirky Havana frames give off that retro feel, while the metal double bridge adds to the fun.

Win some style points in half-framed frames.

Ok, so these glasses just ooze sophistication. They give you that “cool without even having to try” vibe and add a bit of edginess to any look. What do I mean by that?

Some glasses, such as round shapes and standard rectangles, are very traditional. These half-framed glasses are a step out of the box. They say, “I know what I’m doing in this outfit.”

These Brooks Brothers frames are half-tortoiseshell, half-round, and all style. They pair well with suits and workwear and might even make you the Clark Kent of the office!

This year, frames that reflect your style and personality are at the forefront. It’s easy to go for the most standard style you see, but dig a bit deeper. After all, you have to wear your eyeglasses daily (or often), so why not feel good in them?
