They began as a bespoke shoemaker, based in London in the early ‘90s catering to the likes of Princess Diana and a crew of global jet setters. The eponymous brand was officially founded in 1996 along with Jimmy’s niece, Sandra Choi, who had previously been designing in the atelier. Choi was brought on board as a creative director, a position she still holds to this day while Mr. Choo departed the company in 2001.

This reputation helped catapult them into rapid expansion, in addition to a flavor for bold and dramatic advertising with many ads portraying strong, glam women in towering heels and luxurious handbags.

While women’s shoes remain at the forefront of the company, they also offer handbags, scarves, fragrances, and, of course, sunglasses.
